repertoire that ranges from classic swing to modern and latin jazz, the
blues, soul and beyond, New York City based band Tim Otto & the
Bluetones can provide music for any event.
We've
performed for all sorts of clients - businesses and individuals, corporate
and private
events, product launches, store openings, plus gatherings
and celebrations of all types...
From a private dinner
for the global heads of Merrill Lynch, to a jazz trio at MOMA or
Restaurant Daniel, to the launch of This Old House Magazine, or for the
Harry Potter author J.K Rowling's first visit to New
York - last but not least to countless parties and weddings in
venues large and
small all over town.
We're based in Manhattan and perform
all
over New York City, the Tri State area, DC, Boston and beyond.

Led by saxophonist
Tim Otto since
1993, the Bluetones include some of the finest musicians playing in the
New York area. Tim performs
regularly
in New
York with the Bluetones, and has
performed and recorded with many other jazz, blues and
rock bands including the swing/latin sensations The Last of the
International Playboys,
rock band Firewater, 90 year old blues legend Pinetop Perkins (Grammy
Lifetime Achievement award recipient), the Big Apple
Circus, plus many others, including music for film, TV,
and theater.
The
group is usually a quintet featuring sax, guitar, keyboard, bass
and drums, but we can provide any size band, smaller or larger to
fit your event and requests. If
you're
looking to add a singer, we work with several great vocalists.
Cost varies depending on the number of musicians, the length of the
event, and location.

award winner Adrien Brody,
supermodel Milla Jovovitch and
indie actress, Illeana Douglas.
Tim plays clarinet on the soundtrack and drums in Milla Jovovitchs'
